We booked for three and the room was spacious and comfortable, so it felt worth the money. The balcony was the best part, with a beautiful view, a peaceful setting, and a swing (jhoola) to sit and relax. It felt refreshing. The location is good if you want quiet away from the Rishikesh crowds. Especially nice for couples, with a calm, scenic and comfortable feel. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

It was quiet and peaceful, and the rooms were good. The connecting road was under construction during my visit, which was inconvenient, though it seemed like a short-term issue that should be finished in 2-3 days. I also had trouble with the door. It wouldn’t open easily, and each time we had to wait 2-5 minutes to unlock it with the key. Everything else was fine. The location is good and close to the main road.

We ended up just putting up with the subpar service during our 3-day stay. In the Junior Suite, the phone didn’t work, the kettle was broken, and there was a bitter smell the whole time. The room situation was a nightmare from the start: I’d booked a king suite for 3100, with extremely dirty sheets, no dusting, and bathroom plumbing that didn’t work at all. The manager said he’d move us to a Junior Suite for the same amount as the king suite, even though Salvus clearly listed the Junior Suite at 2700. When we pointed that out, he told us to talk to Salvus. After 40 minutes talking to Salvus and debating with the manager, he gave us the Junior Suite for 2700. It was a nightmare staying here. Please stay away from this hotel and Salvus.

The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, and I appreciated that it was pet-friendly so I could bring my furry friend. Mr Akash, the owner, was helpful in every way. Ms JYOTI RAJPUT at the front desk made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, with a friendly, professional manner and a smile. Housekeeping, restaurant, and maintenance staff were just as attentive and caring. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it for the service, comfort, and welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely return.

After 25 years, I’m back at Swiss Cottage Hotel Salvus Spa, and I’m glad to say it has kept the same welcoming service. The design has changed, while the staff remain pleasant, friendly, and ready to take care of everything. We had a night train, and they let us stay well past checkout. Simply amazing. Highly recommend, and I look forward to returning soon.
