Getting there by car isn’t possible. You have to park at the end of the road, then walk about 200mts over a bridge and through an area that feels like forest. Once there, the service, clean rooms, views and location were all just right. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and gave us good guidance about theyyam. It’s a beautiful, quiet place very close to the beach, with a great view of the coconut trees and back waters.

Set between the beach and backwaters, the location is awesome. The owner, Mr. Sreeranj, was humble and gracious, and the service was great. The room was decent, and breakfast was wholesome. I’d happily spend at least a week here and would visit again.

The owners were very kind and welcoming, sharing useful trip details and helping us find an incredible Theyyam performance, which was a highlight. Their home-cooked food was delicious and made us feel at home. Our room was clean and comfortable, and good value for the money. My partner and I spent two peaceful days at KK Heritage in Kannur. The Thottada Beach location felt quiet and private, while still being only a short walk from the beach. For a serene stay near nature and local culture, it’s a place worth visiting at least once.

Palm trees surround the homestay, and Thottada beach is only a few minutes away on foot. It’s a beautiful, peaceful stretch of beach. I stayed here for a month while taking my Ayurveda course in Kannur, and it really did feel like home. The family were caring and warm. They included me in everyday activities and celebrations, and I felt part of their life. The food was delicious, with a different local breakfast each day and dinner with fresh fish. Sreeranj and Jyothi, thank you for such a lovely stay!

A cozy homestay in kannur near thottada beach, a good escape from the city chaos. The food was stupendous, and the hosts were really friendly, along with their furry buddy Nico. Totally recommended if you want to stay by the beach.
