Hot water is available in the mornings, but you have to ask for it. The staff are cooperative, though basic things like this need a reminder at the front desk. The room was a clean, decent little space for two, but the AC and lift weren’t working when we arrived. They turned on the generator after we asked. We booked HOTEL TAWFEEQ PALACE through Agoda, listed at ₹511 for a single room, but the final amount was around ₹940 including booking charges. There’s another ₹500 charge per extra person, so for two people expect about ₹750 each. The pricing isn’t very clear, but it’s manageable if you know beforehand. If you’re visiting Tanjavur for the temple circuit and just need a budget overnight stop, this modest, functional hotel is close enough and offers just enough comfort. Don’t expect luxury, and be ready to ask for basic services.

Pragathi was especially helpful and friendly, sorting out cabs and autos and helping us with everything we needed. Five of us shared one room, which was spacious and very clean. The service was excellent. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

It’s a new hotel, and the rooms were clean and good. There’s no kitchen, so food is brought in from outside. The road access isn’t proper, and parking is outside, where it feels insecure.
