MMD Residency

The place was peaceful, and cleanliness was excellent throughout. At MMD Residency, our room was good, clean, and well maintained. The staff were polite and supportive, and the friendly person at reception helped with all our needs. I was fully satisfied with this pleasant, comfortable stay.

Nothing matched the fancy claims on the website, and we were very disappointed. We went with our toddler expecting a proper cooking setup, but they didn’t provide induction vessels until we asked. There was no Wi-Fi, despite it being listed, and although they said there was solar hot water, there wasn’t. We had to get hot water in a bucket from outside. Room service was horrible, there was no parking, and the hotel was hard to find on a very narrow street. There was no security either. The rooms were a nightmare for us. Although the construction is recent, the furnishings weren’t done properly. Very horrible.

The check-in was smooth, and the staff, especially bakyaraj, were polite, helpful, and professional. The location is convenient, with easy access to major areas and places like Brihadeeswarar Temple. Hygiene standards were good, and it felt like excellent value for money. I had a pleasant stay at this residency in Thanjavur. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, with a peaceful, comfortable feel. A reliable place for a neat and quiet stay. Highly recommended for families and other travelers.

The room itself had several problems: cleaning supplies left outside gave off a smell, there were no mosquito nets, and the promised heater wasn’t there. The door handle was broken, and the bathroom commode was loosely fitted. The desk staff said the lift was being maintained, so we waited about 20-30 minutes for it to work. We checked in around 12-1 pm. On arrival, parking was very limited and the service apartment sits on a very narrow road, so I wouldn’t suggest it for people coming by car. This was a horrible experience. The property looked promising in the photos, but reality was totally different. Don’t rely on those pictures.
