Super Townhouse Trivandrum Padmanabhaswamy Temple Formerly Rezt N Relaz Inn

After travelling for 32 hours to Thiruvananthapuram, we arrived with a prepaid reservation confirmed more than a month earlier. My mother had also sprained her knee painfully during the trip. Even so, the hotel said it couldn't accommodate us, and the receptionist showed little concern or willingness to help after we'd been left stranded. They said there was a drainage problem and that they'd arrange a cab to another hotel. We waited about 30 minutes, then an auto-rickshaw booked through Rapido arrived instead. The other hotel was about 3 km from the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, which undermined one of the main reasons we'd chosen this location. There doesn't seem to be a reliable number to reach the property ahead of time if something goes wrong. Being told at the door after travelling for over a day that a prepaid booking won't be honoured is unacceptable. Families, older travellers, and anyone arriving after a long journey should be especially cautious. This was a highly stressful, disappointing experience, and I'd strongly advise thinking carefully before booking here.

We arrived late at night. The outside looked quite good, so I expected the rooms to be maintained, but inside was a letdown. Our room was dirty, and the bedspread and blankets seemed unwashed and had ants all over them. It was very uncomfortable, and for the price, the room wasn't worth it or anything like the photos. Booking was another problem. When we tried to call, we were redirected to OYO and booked through them. I wanted to speak to the hotel directly and ask a few things before confirming. The outside was promising, but cleanliness and service fell short. Very disappointed.

We chose this hotel a month ahead because it was close to padmanabhaswamy temple. On arrival, they said our booking or name wasn't there. The receptionist was unwelcoming and unhelpful, and after about 30 minutes of waiting they moved us to another hotel, saying it was nearby. It was actually around 3.5 km away. After a delayed train ride and barely eating properly since morning, the whole situation was exhausting and extremely unprofessional. The alternative, edassery prince palace, was disappointing too. A terrible experience, not even worth one star.

I checked in with my wife on March 12, 2026. The hotel is conveniently near the temple, but the road in is extremely narrow. Buses can't get through, so we had to carry our bags on foot for 500 meters. The amenities were sparse, just one towel and one soap for the room. The staff ignored our requests and wouldn't cooperate. The fan kept making noise with no fix, and the AC barely cooled even set to 16°C. I paid an advance at the counter, but despite asking several times, they wouldn't provide a proper bill. Poor service and facilities for the price, so I wouldn't recommend it.
