Kananam Retreat

We were welcomed warmly as soon as we arrived, and the staff did a lot to make us comfortable. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and had a beautiful view of the hills and green waves. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and housekeeping did a fantastic job. I had a wonderful stay at kananam retreat. 🥰👍

The food was delicious, and the hospitality was top-notch. I spent the day exploring quaint little towns and villages, after waking to misty mornings and watching the sun set over the hills. With scenic views, lush green hills, and crisp mountain air, it was perfect for a quick escape from the city chaos. This place is a must-visit!♥️

The food and service are great, and it’s family friendly. There’s also a small children’s park. Rooms vary: the honeymoon cottage is premium, while the 1BHK and 2BHK are just okay. The rooms themselves are okay too. Getting there can be tricky, though the concrete road reaches the property. It’s steep, with sharp curves and hairpin bends. Most cars should manage, but big vehicles like travellers/urbania may struggle. We took an urbania and made it, but it wasn’t easy. It depends on the driver. This is a scenic hidden gem, with early morning fog and a cool breeze most of the time. Winter is the best time to visit. We had a wonderful experience and will try to return.

The road gets narrow and steep near the top, but it felt worth it once we arrived. The resort is peaceful and surrounded by nature, just right for slowing down and relaxing. Our clean, spacious cottage felt homely, and the staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was simple but tasty. Kananam Resort near Naadukani Pavilion, Kulamavu, sits on a hill with breathtaking valley and misty mountain views. Waking up to that scenery was the best part of the trip. I’d recommend it for quiet time in the hills, and I’d love to come back.
