The biggest problem was arriving at the property: its actual location didn’t match the pin on Google Maps, which caused confusion. At reception, room prices weren’t clear either, and different staff quoted different amounts. Access is difficult, and even getting drinking water or a cup of coffee nearby can be a hassle. Wi-Fi works on the first floor but not on the second, third or fourth. I also have doubts about whether the property has all the permits needed to operate as a hotel. The online listing created expectations that didn’t match the location, pricing, access or services. I hope Tamil Nadu authorities pay closer attention to practices like this and require more transparency.

There’s barely room to move: the very small room fits a queen bed, with one bathroom, no window and no proper lighting. It might be okay for one or two people, but I wouldn’t recommend it at all for a family with more than two members. The photos online look totally different. Don’t trust the online pictures, the reality is very, very poor.

I came for a peaceful spiritual trip, but the way guests were treated made the visit stressful. One person at the property spoke rudely, vulgarly and disrespectfully, and acted irritatingly and ill-manneredly instead of responding professionally. Hospitality should include basic respect, but that was completely missing. I was very disappointed with the staff and management.

I had a terrible experience. There are unauthorized, awful people here who don’t follow the property rules, then try to teach us about law and order. I don’t know that one person, but he’ll damage the residency’s reputation. Anyone who wants good hospitality and self-respect should go somewhere else.

The rooms were clean and neat, and Vairavel Residency is near the temple. I had a wonderful stay.
