Am Grandd by OYO Rooms

There was a constant water problem, and the bathrooms were very dirty. The locks weren't proper and the flush didn't work. To make matters worse, they asked to use my phone to post a 5-star review on OYO. Don't trust the ratings shown there.

The 8+ Booking.com rating misled me. I checked in at 12:15 at night after a long road trip, and was stuck because it was so late and the date had changed that I couldn't book another property. I don't know how this place gets such good reviews. You wouldn't want to stay here even for free. For one or two people, sleeping in the car is a better decision. Worst experience of my life. If negative ratings were allowed, I'd give it -5. The room was full of problems: the tubelight was held up with paper tape, and instead of a ceiling fan there was a noisy wall fan over your head with no speed adjustment, so you couldn't sleep. There was no car parking; they told you to park anywhere, and then you wake up to a challan message. The window faced a slum area. Bedsheets were dirty, stained, and had holes, and the towel was dirtier than your house doormat. The drinking water container was enough to make you forget your thirst. The washroom was extremely small, dirty, and smelly, and the toilet water spray didn't work, so you had to struggle with that too. There were language issues as well.

The bathroom stayed wet and untidy, with water pooling on the floor and a bad smell. The flooring also felt slippery. There was no water for customers and nowhere to plug in a phone. For what it costs, it wasn’t worth it, and the ambience was poor.

Getting a room sorted took nearly five changes. One had a clogged flush, and the bathroom doors in other rooms wouldn’t shut. The rooms also weren’t very clean. They asked for Aadhaar details from every person, even though we were traveling as a family. A disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
