Maya Residency

The sink fittings are the one thing that needs work: the basin was held in place with plastic cement that looked dirty. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable, with AC and reliably available hot water. The staff responded helpfully to requests. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was tasty and filling, and it seems like a good spot for other meals too. Traffic could be heard, but it wasn't too bothersome. Tourist places were easy to reach by tuk tuk, and the stay was good value.

It's a small hotel, but our room was kept very clean. The counter staff were always willing to help us feel comfortable, and requests for water or other items were taken care of right away. The location is central and made it easy to get around. There isn't a restaurant in the hotel, but breakfast came from Sangeetas next door, where the vegetarian food was delicious. A few other restaurants were also within walking distance, which made meals convenient. A good place to stay.

Dated 7 March 2026. After a six-hour journey, my family had just checked into our two rooms and started settling in when a reception staff member knocked and demanded the remaining payment before 4:30 PM. That was unacceptable and unprofessional. Guests deserve time to settle after travelling, rather than being disturbed in their room for payment. The owner/GM was there listening but did not step in. When I challenged him about it, he casually said he would “talk to the staff,” which showed no real accountability or leadership. The staff and management both came across as rude and disrespectful, with extremely poor service standards. If you expect basic courtesy and professionalism as a guest, think twice before booking here.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with good AC and a nice shower that had hot water. We liked everything about the room. Our hosts were welcoming and helped whenever we ran into an issue. They also always helped us get a table at the very popular restaurant next door. We had a really nice stay and would recommend the place. I'd stay here again if I return to Trichy.
