SPOT ON 66363 Hotel Rock View Lodge

The old man who owns the hotel was rude and used harsh language. I booked a room for a friend because of an emergency, then had to cancel soon afterward. He wouldn’t return any of the money, not even half. I’d paid almost ₹1,000 for the booking, with ₹8 still due, and when I left he forced me to pay the rest as well. He used very harsh words to make me pay the full amount even though nobody had used the hotel facilities. The hospitality and understanding were both terrible. It felt like they just wanted to make money by any means.

We booked a one-day stay through the Oyo app for a fixed ₹785, payable at the hotel. At check-in, they demanded ₹1,400. When we showed them the booking amount, they harshly said the hotel boss, not Oyo, was in charge and told us to leave. They also asked for my partner’s Aadhaar card and phone number. We showed the e-Aadhaar, but they rejected it and kept pressuring us for more money. With no other option, we paid what they demanded and left. The room was dirty, and the experience scared us. Oyo is losing its reputation because of hotels like this. We won’t book hotel rooms through Oyo again.

Friendly staff, a convenient location, clean rooms, and affordable rates. I’d recommend it.

The billing desk needs to improve. I told them I was checking out at 8 a.m., but it took nearly two hours to get my bill. If I’d had a flight to catch, I would have missed it. Luckily I had a car. While I sat at reception waiting, they attended to the customer who came after me. Ridiculous.
