ASR Guesthouse

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room wasn’t cleaned properly, with the surfaces generally below par, and the TV didn’t work. There were also lots of mosquitoes. When I raised it, staff blamed visitors for leaving the windows open without checking whether they actually were. And if you need the gate opened late at night, don’t count on staff responding.

The staff were very good, and they let us check in early when I came with my family.

We booked three rooms for a family stay and had a great time. The hospitality was much warmer than I expected, especially from the lady at reception. I haven’t had that kind of welcome even at a five-star hotel.

The bathroom was otherwise clean, though there were cigarette stubs near the ventilator. The room they first gave me had no Wi-Fi, and the AC still wasn’t cooling after an hour. They switched me to another room, but it had two beds instead of a king-size one. The facilities don’t justify the price, and online rates are at least 25% higher than booking directly at the property.
