OYO 1843 Hotel PLR Kandy

We used PLR Kandy to freshen up as part of KSTDC. The food was decent, and they served unlimited portions. The rest was rough: the room and bathroom smelled, there was no hot water, the floor and common toilets were dirty, and the TV had no active DTH connection. Management also wouldn’t flex to give an additional towel.

There’s ample parking, the property is spacious, and the staff were polite. Food at the in-house restaurant is reasonably priced but only average in quality. Breakfast is provided and manageable, mostly South Indian dishes. Still, my one-night stay at PLR Kandy Tirupati was below average overall. The bathroom lock was faulty, and the TV wouldn’t work even after two people tried to fix it. Nobody offered to help carry luggage. One night is manageable, but staying longer could be a challenge. They need significant improvements to maintenance and service.

The food was the only positive. I booked through KSTDC expecting comfort, but the stay disappointed me. The room and toilets weren’t clean, the hot water supply was inadequate, and the water was too hard. Even after paying a premium, my simple request for extra soap was refused. The amenities and service didn’t match the cost or my expectations.

The service at thondawada bar plr candy was the worst. They collected far too much extra money. moon light bar is too costly and a fraud, so be careful and don’t trust them.
