Stay Inn Tirupati by OYO Rooms

I booked through Oyo. The hotel is on the main road, easy to reach, and has good parking. The restaurant serves tasty food at a reasonable price. The reception guy speaks 5-6 languages besides Hindi and English, but the service and room service weren’t very good. Our room felt oddly sized and wasn’t spacious. The sheets weren’t clean, and water kept leaking from the wash basin tap even after we told the staff. It was a waste of water. For a reasonable price, I’d call it an average place to stay.

We left after only half a day and found another hotel with better maintenance for less. This was a really bad experience, and I wouldn’t book here. The AC didn’t work, and when we asked for help the response was unfriendly. They charged 2000 for a small room. There was no proper upkeep: the sheets were yellow, the pillow covers smelled and were damaged, and the room itself wasn’t pleasant. It felt like a total waste.

We booked through Oyo, but when we arrived by cab the receptionist said there was no Oyo here and they no longer had a tie-up with them. If you book through Oyo, call the hotel afterward, because they may let you down when you get there. We ended up paying 2000 rupees for three people, and they didn’t give us a bill. The AC in each room apparently doesn’t work. They control the AC and heater switches themselves, and after half an hour they turn off the AC. There was no drinking water or soap in the room, so we had to buy water ourselves. We expected service for the amount we paid, but got none. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, a terrible experience and a total waste of money. People, don’t come here. 👆

Both rooms had electrical problems in the toilet, and touching the water pipe gave a shock. There were lots of mosquitoes and the AC didn’t work. They said breakfast was complimentary and that there was an in-house restaurant, but after we ordered, we found they were ordering food from a local un hygienic Andra mess. The low-quality food was tied in a plastic cover with local thread. It looked like a fraud to me. Don’t bring families here. It didn’t feel safe.
