After visiting the temple, we stopped here for breakfast. My 5-year-old daughter and I got a severe burning sensation on our tongues after eating the idly, and I wondered if too much cooking soda or some other additive had been used. The dosa and poori were fine for the rest of my family. This seems to be the only decent vegetarian option near the temple, so it’s convenient for visitors. I hope the management takes the feedback positively and improves the food quality. The restaurant has good potential to serve devotees better.

There’s an all-vegetarian restaurant right across from the hotel, run by the same management. The rooms are reasonably good, and the main road location is convenient, near the man temple. It does feel a little isolated, like a highway hotel, even though it’s close to the temple.

I only went to the restaurant. The food was excellent and the place felt clean. There aren’t other hotels near the temple with these facilities. Don’t miss it, or you’ll have to keep going along Madurai road while tired to find another one.

One of the reception staff, Murali, didn’t listen when I’d previously asked him to continue. Then they made an agreement and told me to vacate. The information was terrible, and they wouldn’t speak face to face. Management should put a well-trained person at reception.
