I booked and paid an advance for an AC room over the phone, but when I got there they gave me a non-AC room and denied that I'd asked for AC. The room was dirty and full of mosquitoes, so I barely slept. They didn't provide any basic amenities either. It felt like I'd been cheated and wasted my money. Don't rely on their booking promises. Not recommended. 1/5

The owner's treatment of our group was completely unacceptable. He was disrespectful and spoke to the women with deeply inappropriate, abusive language. No guest should be treated that way. Families and women traveling especially should avoid this place and stay elsewhere. I recently stayed at Sai Murugan lodge, and the property was in very poor condition too. The plumbing didn't work, and the rooms were very dirty.

Couldn't even go in. The place is bad, and the lies start right away. Mosquitoes will carry you off, and the restroom wasn't cleaned. They hadn't even emptied the basic trash bin.

A good budget lodge for singles, though families may need to make a few adjustments. Drinking water was available around the clock, and I had no power problems during my four-day stay. The rooms were clean, it's close to the temple, and the price is budget-friendly.

The location worked for me, about a 25-minute walk from the bus stand. For 800 INR, the single room was pretty clean and had a private bathroom, though there was no A/C at that price. I appreciated how the receptionists and owner handled a problem with a local guy who was following me. They moved me to another room and said they would call the police if he came back. I'd probably stay here again for a budget trip.
