Hotel Sree Shai International

I booked a suite for Rs 8000, but the quality fell short. The balcony has been turned into a room and called a suite, and there are stains on the walls hidden behind a screen. There are no windows for an outside view, and a fire pipe blocks the bathroom entrance. The car park is far from the hotel, the cupboard can’t be used because of water stains, and there’s no kettle or tea. There also isn’t enough bedside desk space. When I asked at the front desk, they said this room does count as the suite. See the attached pictures as evidence. Better avoid this hotel.

The room rates are far too high. The restaurant on site, alayam bojans, was even worse. The food didn’t seem freshly made, and the parotta gave me a stomach ache. The veg fried rice wasn’t cooked properly either, so I wasted both the food and my money. If you stay here, try to get food from another restaurant.

I’ve stayed here several times, but this visit wasn’t a good experience. They charged Rs.25 for a bottle of Bisleri marked with an MRP of Rs.20. How can they charge more than the MRP? The service wasn’t to my liking this time, though my experience before Covid was good.

The temple is very close, around 0.5km, which is the one positive. They charged me 6000, and it was very expensive. There’s no car parking, no help with luggage, and suite guests don’t get breakfast. The reception staff’s behaviour wasn’t professional. Worst experience. Don’t stay here 🙏🏻
