The food and service were the saving graces, and the location is convenient. The rest didn't feel worth what we paid. Talia Costa's upkeep was poor, and the equipment, furniture and linen were well below Taj standards. The mattresses and pillows were poor quality, as were the soap and shampoo. It also wasn't very child-friendly, with no fence around the lawns or poolside. It didn't seem to be managed or maintained by Taj Hotels.

The kids were in tears when we had to leave Talia Costa, and my parents loved it too. My wife is from Udaipur and I'm from Ajmer, so we've stayed in many places around Rajasthan, but this was our most memorable and 'AHA!' stay. Our visit to the Taj Lake Palace was divine, but Talia Costa gave us the complete package and the whole family loved it. The villa's design had everything we needed, with a large pool, peaceful lawn and beautiful views of Lake Fatehsagar. Its modern architecture felt luxurious and classy, and once we were inside, we hardly wanted to go out. The food was delicious from breakfast through dinner. I'd had concerns about hospitality and meals at first, but the staff's service quickly put them to rest. They were warm and personal, always going the extra mile; I never heard the word 'No.' Rahul Kharadi and Bhero Singh took great care of us, and Vijay Singh cooked outstanding meals every day. His Churma Baati Ladoos were out of this world. It was a superb property, with fantastic food, flawless service and a home-like warmth. I'd highly recommend it for a Udaipur stay.

The pool was one of my favorite parts of the stay, with clear water, a beautiful view of the landscape and a well-kept, peaceful spot to relax. Talia Costa's food was fantastic throughout, with plenty of dishes made from fresh ingredients, lively flavors and lovely presentation. Dining there was an experience of its own. The property is beautiful, and its traditional Rajasthani character blends well with modern comfort. The architecture and decor made for a serene, luxurious atmosphere. Staff were warm, professional and attentive to every detail. They went out of their way to help, whether arranging excursions, offering recommendations or greeting me with a smile. Despite the luxury, the place felt comfortable and home-like, somewhere I could unwind. Talia Costa in Udaipur brings together a lovely property, great food and exceptional service. I'd recommend it for a memorable stay.
