The owner's care stayed with us after the trip. He helped us around Udaipur and even offered guidance during our Mount Abu trip, taking responsibility for every little need. As we left, he said, “Kahin bhi koi need ho, you can call us,” and that meant a lot. His kindness, values, and respect were unforgettable. The hospitality felt warm, genuine, and heartfelt, making this one of the best hotel experiences we've had.

The services were all good, but I was especially impressed by the owner's behavior. He's very supportive.

The service was awful and the place wasn't clean. Even though we'd booked an AC room, the AC didn't work. There was an electrical safety issue in the bathroom because of earthing in the geyser. They didn't even have fresh bedsheets or pillows. Never stay here.

We paid the full amount through Stayzilla three days before our stay at "The Royal Villa Hotel", but the hotel's hire management and staff seemed to have a huge communication gap. A woman from hire management promised one large family room with two king-size beds for six adults and a one-year-old. We spoke with her three times about the booking, yet the hotel staff knew nothing about it. Although check-in was at noon, we arrived at 8pm and waited another 40 minutes. The staff seemed lazy and unaware of the family-room booking. After an hour of discussion, they gave us one small room with one bed for all six of us. That wasn't acceptable, especially after we'd paid in full. We had no real alternative at the time because the hotel is far out of town. The location felt frightening at night. It's among industrial areas, with no street lights or traffic, and there was nothing around for 2km except marble-cutting factories and shops selling marble. The cutting noise went on day and night. The room had a broken toilet and a flush that didn't work. The bathroom and toilet bowl were filthy, smelly, and horrible, so we couldn't use them. We stayed just seven hours, then checked out at 5am. The restaurant kitchen looked disgusting too, so we only ate an apple that night. The service was very poor, staff were rude and didn't listen, and the place seemed to have no interest in customer satisfaction. We had a wonderful time in Udaipur, but this incident was disturbing and put us in a bad mood. I'm not usually a complainer or demanding, and I've stayed at more accommodating hotels. I wouldn't return or recommend this place. Avoid "The Royal Villa Hotel" if you can, to spare yourself the stress.
