Fabhotel Baba Palace Pichola Lake

I booked five days, and this was by far my worst hotel stay. The beds and pillows were extremely dirty, even with sheets and covers on them. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and the cleaning staff accidentally took my personal towel during room service. The towels they provided were very old and dirty. I had to keep begging the receptionist for water bottles, and although I reported mosquitoes in the room repeatedly, no repellent was provided. The unhygienic beds and rooms, poor service, and rude staff made the whole stay a headache. I’d tell people not to book here unless there’s nowhere else in town.

Karnesh, the security guard, is a real gentleman, and the hotel is about ten minutes from City palace and Hathipol. The rooms are nice, with adequate staff, though cleanliness is only average and they don’t ask whether you want the room cleaned each day. The à la carte food is very expensive. If breakfast is complimentary, don’t skip it, it’s excellent.

I was surprised by how affordable this 5-star stay was. The rooms were excellent, the food delicious, and the luxury facilities gave a premium experience at a very reasonable price. There are lots of good places nearby to explore too. It’s the best value-for-money 5-star stay I’ve had.

It’s a good option for a comfortable stay without spending too much, combining low prices with good service, cleanliness, and a great location. I’d definitely recommend it if you want somewhere clean, safe, convenient, and easy on the wallet.
