Hotel Lotus Inn

I booked a four-day stay in Udaipur through your platform and checked in at about 10:00 PM. The listing included a kettle and hair dryer, but neither was available when we arrived. When I asked, staff rudely said they weren’t responsible because I hadn’t booked directly with the hotel. I expected the listed amenities to be provided through a trusted booking platform. The staff and owner were rude and disrespectful throughout our stay. At checkout, we had arrived almost eight hours after the standard check-in time, and stayed only one hour beyond checkout. Nobody had told us about a late checkout policy or extra fees. At first, they let us keep our luggage without mentioning a penalty. Then, with our train leaving in 3-4 hours, they demanded a half-day charge for that single extra hour. Had they told us earlier, we would have left straight away. They made us leave, kept our luggage, and spoke rudely, including saying, “I am the owner, I can do anything.” We were left sitting outside without help or proper communication, stressed and inconvenienced just before our journey. They also used abusive words. I’m asking you to take strict action over the behavior and false service claims, investigate the undisclosed charges, help prevent this happening to other customers, and provide suitable compensation or a refund for the inconvenience. I trusted your platform for a comfortable, reliable booking, and this has badly affected that trust.

The cleanliness and room conditions were awful. The bathroom stank, the beds were torn in several places, and both the sheets and white covers were extremely dirty. There was no hygiene, and mosquitoes filled the rooms, so resting was difficult. We were in town for a wedding and stayed with family. Parking was a problem: nearby vendors caused trouble, and the hotel ramp was reserved for the owner. Even as guests, we were treated poorly. Staff came every five minutes to pressure us to move the car, which felt uncomfortable and disrespectful. The hotel showed little regard for its customers. With bad facilities, poor cleanliness, and unprofessional behavior, the experience was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially to families.

Amenities were falsely listed, and staff openly refused to provide them, saying online bookings don’t matter. They were very rude, too. Nobody had told us about late checkout fees, but they demanded extra money as our train time got close, forced us out, and treated us badly. Worst hotel experience in Udaipur. Avoid it.

The staff were good to us, and the room was really clean. I’d highly recommend staying here.
