Hotel Mewari Villa Udaipur

We booked two lake view rooms, and both had beautiful views for a lower price. The rooms and washrooms were very clean, the food tasted good, and the rooftop restaurant had a nice view too. The staff were lovely and cooperative, and helped with the itinerary and local transport. It felt like a very safe property, and the stay was comfortable and worth it. It’s a nice hotel in the heart of the old city, with a few spots just a short walk away.

The rooftop view was nice, and the location was very good. The staff were kind and welcoming. But for the price, the room was disappointing: the bathroom was very old and dated, there was no Wi-Fi in the room or kettle, and the rooms felt more like a backpacker hostel. At 4,500 rupees, this was the most expensive place we stayed in India and the least comfortable, so we left earlier than planned. At a lower price it might have seemed reasonable, but at this rate it didn’t meet expectations. Check-out was very early, at 10am, leaving barely enough time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. It feels like a hostel trying to be a hotel, and needs a lot of work before charging that much.

The location and view were good, and they served delicious food made fresh. I especially appreciated the hospitality. The hotel staff, particularly Mr.Abhay Singh, genuinely cared about tourists and helped us throughout our stay.

The hotel had a calm, elegant atmosphere that worked well for relaxing or getting work done. Food was delicious, with good variety and quality, and the location made nearby attractions and transport easy to reach. The lake side rooms and resturant are worth a mention. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a comfortable bed, and the courteous staff were always willing to help. The stay felt welcoming and exceeded my expectations for comfort, service, and cleanliness. I’d recommend it, and would love to come back.
