The food was the highlight for us. We had one of our best meals there: an exclusive dinner buffet, freshly prepared and delicious, plus tasty choices at the limited breakfast. There are also vintage cars parked in the car park. With plenty of activities on site, it’s a nice escape from the city bustle and a chance to enjoy the mountains. We spent a night at this hotel, now part of the IHCL Taj chain. It’s on the outskirts near Eklingji temple, but can be tricky to find after sunset, so arrive early. We were greeted warmly with a traditional welcome drink, and our comfortable rooms had stunning mountain views. Maintenance could be better. The old AC units took a while to cool, the geysers had to be switched on separately, and the hot and cold water directions were opposite to what the tap indicated. The swimming pool also needed cleaning.

At first, the entry road to Tree of Life Antara didn’t make a great impression. Once we got inside, though, the ambience, surroundings, and overall vibe completely changed our minds. The resort is beautifully set among the hills, away from Udaipur’s crowded areas, so it’s a peaceful place to relax. We had a very nice, quiet stay. The hospitality was excellent, especially from manager Ashish, who was supportive and made sure we were comfortable throughout. We’d definitely recommend it for a calm, refreshing getaway.

Dheeraj, the duty manager, coordinated everything quietly and kept the stay running smoothly. We were there with friends and family for some time together before our son’s wedding in Udaipur, and it was a great choice. The food was the standout. When we explained that we needed coeliac-friendly meals, Chef Hemendra put together a wide range of safe dishes that were also excellent, with real care behind them. Kaushal and the rest of the team were warm and attentive throughout. Our rooms were large, with broad valley views, and the seasonal haze made the sunsets spectacular. The peaceful setting was good for unwinding and reflecting, and the yoga sessions added to that. The location worked well, and the hospitality was truly exceptional. A memorable stay.

The hillside setting gives you lovely views across the valley and the outskirts of Udaipur, with a quiet feel away from the city rush. We stayed at Tree of Life Vantara in January 2026 and had a relaxed, enjoyable visit. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the property was peaceful and well cared for. The food was good, and the hospitality felt genuinely welcoming. I’d be glad to come back.
