A good budget option for a quick getaway. The price was very affordable, but the basics were covered, and the rooms were spot clean. Check-in was smooth thanks to the friendly, helpful staff, and the place had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Getting there in a four-wheeler can be tricky because the access roads are narrow. Two-wheelers have an easier time, so plan the route ahead. I’d recommend it for good value.

My mother wasn’t feeling well, and the manager responded insensitively when I explained that she had come with me to the temple. He asked why I took her there and said I should have taken her to a hospital or doctor. That was disrespectful, especially given the situation. We had stayed at Hotel Midland in Ujjain for three days. Our checkout was due at 9:00 AM on the third day, and we had paid in full in advance. At around 7:00 AM I went with my mother to Mangalnath Temple. She took her medicines before coming along because it was our first visit to Ujjain and we both wanted darshan. When we got back, the staff or manager demanded another ₹1,000. We hadn’t received a call, message, or reminder asking whether we planned to check out or extend our stay. I feel the hotel should at least contact guests about checkout before demanding extra charges. We were only about three hours late, yet they wanted a full day’s charge. If a full day costs ₹1,000, charging that for a few extra hours seemed unreasonable. I paid ₹500, though I don’t feel that amount was justified either. At first they insisted on ₹1,000, then said, “Okay, you pay ₹500, and I will take the remaining ₹500 from the traveler.” The traveler had nothing to do with this and shouldn’t have been brought into it or asked for money. The whole episode felt unfair and unprofessional, like they were trying to get extra money without proper communication or a reasonable policy. Management should address the staff’s conduct, the lack of communication, and how these charges are handled. Guests deserve basic courtesy, empathy, and professionalism. My experience was very disappointing.

This place is overpriced for what it offers, and the cleanliness was extremely poor. Reaching the room was difficult too: we had to carry our luggage on foot for nearly 350 meters. Makemytrip should avoid listing properties of such low quality because it damages trust in the platform.

The hotel is a little over a kilometre from Mahakal temple, but the staff were helpful and professional, and the service was great. My stay was very pleasant. If you need an affordable place to stay, you can rely on this hotel.
