Hotel Satya Shree

There are plenty of street food choices and cafés nearby, and the hotel sits in a peaceful area. The staff were very polite, and I had a nice stay. The one drawback, though it didn't matter much to me, is that Mahakaleshwar is about 6 km away.

We booked two rooms for one night on a weekend when there were hardly any options left, mainly because breakfast was included. The room itself was fine, and check-in with the owner or manager went smoothly. The bathrooms were a different story: hair on the drain, a random bindi stuck to the mirror, and broken holders for both the toilet roll and soap. The geyser took ages to warm the water. There was no parking, since the hotel is above an Ola showroom, so we had to leave the car on the street and hope for the best. We also had no privacy on the second floor, where our rooms were right by reception and the caretaker slept. His alarm rang at 5 AM and he kept snoozing it, right outside my door. Breakfast was supposed to start at 8:30. When we asked then, the staff called the restaurant and said it would take a while. We went to check and found it empty, with no sign of food being prepared. One person was hiding in the kitchen. He said breakfast would start at 9 and that the restaurant wasn't even connected to the hotel. When we asked the owner why nothing was ready, he said breakfast was only served at 9 and asked who had promised 8:30. The attitude was unbelievable, with no accountability or hospitality. The stay was seriously disappointing, so spend a little more and stay elsewhere. This place isn't worth the hassle.

After I had checked in, the hotel changed the price we'd agreed on beforehand. Nobody gave a clear explanation or warning, and the staff weren't helpful when I tried to sort it out. It felt dishonest and unprofessional, and it ruined my stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I couldn't sleep because there was noise outside the room and from upstairs. I told them, but nothing changed. Really bad service and a very bad experience. I'm not coming back under any circumstances.
