We had two double rooms with our children, and the location near Baba Mahakaal Temple was the only real plus. The service was awful, staff were discourteous, and both rooms smelled bad. The washrooms leaked, the WCs were dirty, towels were very rough and only replaced after many requests, and the doormats looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The shower gel and shampoo in the dispensers were poor quality. At checkout, reception charged us for breakfast even though we had said we might not eat at the restaurant. We didn’t even want to stand near its entrance because it smelled of sewage. The prices are very high for this level of service and attitude. Devotees should look for a better option around Darbar, and check whether the positive reviews are genuine. We do not recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Hotel President in Ujjain with a group of friends and had a fantastic time. Being close to Mahakal Temple made our daily visits easy and hassle-free. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and convenience during a stay.

We had a great family stay at Hotel President in Ujjain. The spacious family suite worked really well for us, and we enjoyed the tasty breakfast at the in-house restaurant. With Mahakal temple so close, our daily trips were easy.

We paid extra for an additional bed, but were given a PVC foam sheet instead. When we asked for a proper bed, staff said they had no other option, so we had to use it. The pillows were visibly stained too, which made us seriously question the hygiene. There was a cockroach in our first room. Staff moved us after we reported it, but the replacement room wasn’t much better. The washroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the toilet seat was broken and uncomfortable to use. Cleanliness, maintenance, and service were all very poor. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The food was tasteless, especially the buffet, and the prices were high enough that I expected better. Inside, the hotel’s rooms were very dirty, the washrooms were awful, room service was slow, and there were lots of mosquitoes. Staff behavior was poor too, though Pankaj ji and kartavya ji at reception were good. Mr Sunil suryavanshi was very arrogant. The outside appearance is good, but the hotel itself is the opposite of what its name suggests. Overall, I don’t recommend it.
