Madhav Bagh - Royal Heritage Stay

The staff were attentive and courteous, and the fresh, authentic food was delicious and clearly prepared with care. We stayed for 2 days and loved the blend of heritage character and modern comfort. From arrival, the warm hospitality made us feel at home, and the spacious, beautifully designed rooms gave us the sense of being in a royal palace.

We stopped here on the way to Udaipur with my cousin and our dog, arriving around 6:30 PM. The host welcomed us warmly and shared stories about the royal family of Baroda and the property’s history. The spacious, attractive rooms were well maintained, with a lovely mix of royal and modern style. Dinner came around 9:30 PM and was exceptional, especially the chicken and fresh salad, which I still crave. There was plenty of room for all of us and our dog. Breakfast was great too, and before checkout we met their friendly pitbull. Peaceful, pet-friendly, and worth every penny. Highly recommend for a visit to Baroda.

This rustic, pet-friendly homestay style hotel had natural decor and a warm atmosphere that felt like a real escape. I stayed one night with my father and our dog, and the host made us feel welcome right away. They had thoughtfully asked about our meal preferences in advance, then joined us for dinner and breakfast. The food was delicious, and the conversation was delightful, it really felt like home. Our dog was comfortable there too. A lovely, serene getaway for anyone travelling with pets.

The garden is lovely for a quiet walk, and it’s even better that the place welcomes pets. We were greeted by the hosts, who were humble and friendly and made us feel at home straight away. The heritage property is well maintained, with clean, spacious rooms. The food and service were great, too. We’ll definitely return.
