Lavender

We spent one night here as a family group of six with our cousins. The tea plantation and hill views made for a beautiful setting, and the shared pool was very well kept. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean and neat. The food we'd ordered ahead was tasty. Choices were limited because of the ongoing cooking gas shortage. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Johnson chettan. A comfortable, relaxing stay for a family or small group.

Good breakfast, especially the puttu and poori with kadala curry, and they serve lunch in the cottage too. The place sits amid a tea estate, so it's calm and peaceful, with a swimming pool as well. A nice stay for friends or family at a reasonable price.

The resort is a little far from the city, but the view was great. That was about the only good part. The building was old and damaged, maintenance was poor, and the facilities, food, cleanliness, and just about everything else were awful. The bathroom was especially bad, with lots of dirt and stains on the side walls. Even after we complained several times, they did nothing to get us hot water. The kitchen also looked unhygienic. Though there was a kitchen, we didn't want to eat there after seeing utensils left outside and a dog staying there. Not worth a penny.

The food was awful. Chicken curry was the only decent item; even the idly and chutney were a disaster. The kitchen was very unhygienic, and some cabinets were broken. This doesn't feel like a 3 star stay, with no luxury or especially good location. The rooms are spacious, but getting hot water from the geysers was always a struggle. A few restrooms had gas geysers that pumped hot water faster, while the others weren't up to standard, which caused chaos as everyone got ready. There are no amenities around the location, no park, leisure space, or sit-outs apart from the veranda. The place didn't feel fresh at all. A complete waste of money. Nearby properties are better, and I wouldn't recommend it for a leisure stay.
