The food was really, really bad. I don't usually criticize food, and I spoke to the FnB head, who tried his best, but the only thing he managed to serve fresh was Aloo Paratha. Breakfast wasn't a buffet either. Each they asked what I wanted, took some time to prepare it, then brought it. The rooms look good on paper and in the photos, and they're spacious with balconies and a bath tub. But maintenance is a big issue. The washroom wasn't well maintained: the bathtub was broken and the flush didn't work properly, it was damaged. Overall, I didn't have a good experience.

Food was good, and they went out of their way to make us happy. The buffet breakfast was excellent, too. The staff were polite, very helpful, and respectful, though they speak Hindi rather than English, so communication can be difficult if you don't know Hindi. Sandeep, the manager, is a real asset and seems able to get anything done. It's a great place to stay, although it's a bit out of town and needs a lot of upgrading and maintenance.

For a four-star property, the service and cleanliness were very poor, and the price felt too high. The breakfast was below average. The room safe and wardrobe weren't working, and the chairs and blanket were badly stained. Water in the bathroom was interrupted and only came back after we complained. The bathtub was old, messy, and unusable.

We had a great family stay at inder residency. The staff were especially cooperative and ready to help with everything, and the food was delicious. Definitely a place I'd visit again.

The resort is about 4.5 km from the old city and palace, so it was a relaxed place to stay. To see the old city, you can hire an auto or taxi for the day and visit the main spots in a mini, avoiding the parking hassle around Udaipur. That can include the palace, jagadish temple, lake pichola, fateh sagar lake, gangaur ghat, and bagore ki haveli. The next day, you can take your own vehicle to sajjangarh fort and then bahubali hills.
