Hotel Lake Shore

We had a lovely spot by the water, seated at a low table with a view of downtown Udaipur. Even without a reservation, the staff helped us get that table; we just waited until one opened up, then they moved us. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the staff were attentive. The evening view of the city gate across the water was wonderful. I'd happily recommend it to tourists looking for a beautiful view.

The lake view was less impressive than I expected, though the ambience was pleasant and the location initially seemed attractive. What made dinner with my friends so disappointing was the service. Staff couldn't serve water or food properly, and when we raised a complaint, nobody paid attention. At billing, we gave feedback and were answered rudely: they said they didn't need our review or advice. It left me feeling they cared about money more than customer satisfaction. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Save your money for somewhere that values service and the customer experience.

Uncle, the owner, took our picture on my last visit and somehow got the perfect angle. It's a small moment, but it reminded me why this place means so much to me. I've been coming regularly for the past year, and it's become one of my favorite spots in Udaipur, somewhere familiar and comforting when I want reliably great food. Every dish I've tried has been delicious, and the owners' genuine care shows in the details. A restaurant with fantastic food and soul. Highly, highly recommended.

We ate here twice during our stay and enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. The food was very tasty, and the lake views and peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax. The staff were friendly, polite, and professional. They also have their own haveli rooms one level below, which could be worth trying.
