We spent two days at Orion County, and the lakeside rooms had breathtaking views, especially with the lovely weather and light rain. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, and the caretakers were welcoming and supportive the whole time. The food was delicious, too. A memorable stay with great views at an affordable price. Highly recommended in Vagamon.

The cliff-top view is one of the best things here, and being in a plantation with cottages spread out across different areas gives you privacy and a quiet nature stay. It’s a beautiful, peaceful location for a family getaway. The rest of the experience needs work. The property and plantation didn’t seem properly maintained. Our TV had no connection, the fridge wasn’t working, and the hospitality and upkeep could have been much better. Dinner choices were very limited. By breakfast, most things had run out: there was only puttu, kadala, bread, and jam, and many guests couldn’t even get tea. There’s good potential here because of the setting and privacy, but service and maintenance need to match it. I’d mainly suggest it to people who want a quiet nature stay and can manage with some shortcomings in service and amenities.

There’s no room service because it takes time to get from one point to another. The place covers almost 200 acres of tea plantation, so moving around does take a while. I think people are posting a lot of negative reviews without reason. The rooms are hygienic and the service is good, though I agree some things take time. Manager Mr John and his professional team work to make the stay memorable.

I went to Hotel Orion County on an office trip, and it was a very disappointing stay. The heater, Wi-Fi, and TV didn’t work, even after we followed up several times. Breakfast portions were too small, some items weren’t available, and several people didn’t get enough to eat. The food felt like it was being handed out as though we weren’t paying for it, and both the quality and portions fell short of what we were charged. Our rooms were below standard, with no towels and almost no room service. The hospitality was very poor, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for office or group trips.

John (GM) was extremely helpful and attentive, making everything smooth and hassle-free. Orion County in Vagamon is surrounded by greenery, with a calm, refreshing feel. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was a pleasant, memorable stay, and I’d recommend it. 8.5/10
