Pine Clough Resort

We travelled as two families and booked the family suite, with two bedrooms and a hall. It was a comfortable, well-planned space, and they arranged an extra bed for the kids. The pool was enjoyable for both adults and children, and during Vishu we had a lovely campfire evening with sparklers. Our day and night at Pine Clough Resorts, Vagamon were memorable. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the courteous staff were quick to help. The food was excellent, especially the complimentary breakfast, which had a good variety. We'd definitely recommend staying here in Vagamon.

The room was in poor shape, with dust and stains on the quilt, a dirty blanket, marks on the curtain, and unclean walls. When I asked the untrained staff to clean it, they didn't. The shower was broken too, and there was no dental kit on site. The dishes weren't tasty, and the menu and toiletries were both limited. This was a very bad first experience for me, and I wouldn't recommend Pine Clough Vagamon to anyone.

We had a relaxing family stay at the mountain-side Pine Clough Vagamon resort, surrounded by greenery and peaceful hill views. The spacious rooms were clean and well maintained, with what we needed for a comfortable visit. Staff were attentive and courteous. The food could taste better, but we still came away with a lovely, memorable stay.

The view from the hotel was one of the best parts of the stay, and the pool looked clean and well kept. Our room was spacious and generally clean, with dental and shaving kits, while the restaurant team were polite and more helpful than the rest of the staff. The road has an uneven stretch that regular cars can manage, though a fully loaded sedan might struggle. The hotel is described as five star, but it felt more like a cottage or lodge and didn't meet that standard. Most staff seemed unprofessional, and management felt weak. The building has no lift and the stairs are extremely steep, making access hard for older people, kids, pregnant women, or anyone with health issues. It's surprising this structure got approval. Our room had no TV, and its toilet exhaust wasn't working. After we reported it and waited about 45 minutes, staff showed us a room next door that had just been vacated. It smelled foul and its toilet hadn't been cleaned, which was unacceptable to offer to guests. Around 8-10 stray dogs roamed the grounds, slept under our car and on the steps, sometimes blocked the restaurant entrance, and left fur on the restaurant carpets. Breakfast was disappointing too: just idly and pooris, served without a buffet, so it felt very limited and not worth the price. Some nearby areas looked deforested, which detracted a little from the ambience.
