Whitegate Residency

I was very pleased with the food and the cleanliness. The staff were professional and showed great hospitality, from security and reception to housekeeping, room service, and the restaurant team. The management and owners' warmth came through in the care the staff showed.

The food was delicious, and White Gate Residency is very conveniently located, close to Vallam Mahadeva temple. I'd recommend it for a solo trip, a family visit, or an official stay. Thanks to the management and staff for arranging a wonderful stay. Everyone was cooperative and supportive.

The food was the big letdown. Vegetarian choices were extremely limited, and about half the menu wasn't available. We ended up relying on chapati and plain rice Dal for our whole stay. Even after we told the restaurant well in advance, the food arrived very late. Since guests staying there depend on the restaurant, they should be given priority. This would be difficult for a family stay because of the food situation. The hotel is close to the temple and easy to get around from, the rooms are clean, and the staff are kind and helpful.

We booked four suit rooms for the night of 18 Feb 2026. Dinner was a nightmare at Seagate: after ordering at the restaurant, we waited 68 minutes. Two omelettes came with the meal, but they were too cold, perhaps cooked and left out for the last 30 minutes. We asked to speak to the manager, who never showed up. It was a horrible experience, and I don't want to think about it again.
