The cottage is right in a forest setting, close to Sholai river Dam. When the dam overflows in season, the water is released along the nearby riverbank, making a wonderful sight. Rare animals sometimes come near the cottage, which is an unusual experience. The owners were sincere and, after we left a valuable item behind at checkout, they packed it carefully and sent it to my Chennai address. Don’t miss a stay here.

We had a separate dining table, and the rooms were well maintained. The people at this affordable hotel in Sholayar Valparai were friendly and well mannered. It’s in a great spot near Sholayar Dam, and I’d recommend booking a room here.

We stayed near Valparai sholaiyar dam as a family group of 20, and it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were kept neat, and they cooked the veg and non-veg food we ordered. It felt like a safe, affordable place to stay.

We reserved one night over WhatsApp after they sent videos and photos that looked really nice. But when we arrived, we were shown a different room. It was dirty, smelled bad, and didn’t look like the pictures. Staff were sitting outside drinking liquor. We cancelled and asked for our advance back, but neither the staff nor the owner would return it. They were rude and insulting. Please avoid this property.

Sathish made us feel at home from the moment he welcomed us, and his suggestions for local sightseeing were thoughtful. His hospitality really made the stay memorable. Olive Gardens is surrounded by lush greenery, a peaceful break from everyday bustle, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I highly recommend staying here.
