I stayed three days and came away with a memorable experience. The hostel walls are covered in graffiti, and the prices were quite affordable. The owner and management are really nice, making it a great place for solo travellers to meet good company. I’d definitely recommend it to solo travellers and groups of friends.
The rooftop is amazing for relaxing with a cold beer in the evening, and beer and water are available on a self-service basis. The staff are really nice. It’s an average hostel and could be cleaner, especially the bathroom, though everything in it worked fine. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very good.
There are bunk beds and the comfort is decent. Since travellers probably won’t spend all their time in the room, that works fine. The hostel has a good vibe and is very close to Dashshvamedh Ghat. I’d recommend staying here.
The hygiene really needs attention, and the hostel is badly maintained. This is a home converted into a hostel, and adding trippy paintings doesn’t make it feel like a happening place. They also need more helpful, sociable people at reception. I wouldn’t stay here again.
The manager was really cool and joined us on the boat ride, explaining how the ceremonies and processions in Varanasi work. Our room was clean, and the rooftop view was great.
