Ganges Nirvana feels like a home in Varanasi, with a community the host has built together with travelers. People come from all over the world, and there’s so much exposure to life and the universe. You can find and do anything and everything there, and contribute however you want. I was glad to get the chance to cook for around 15 travelers, and I drew and painted there too. Thank you shashwat for creating this community. For anyone on a journey of search, transformation, or healing, it’s a place to stay and explore the ancient city. I’d definitely return and recommend it to every traveler.

My wife, kid, and I stayed for 7 nights, and it was a memorable visit. Ganges Nirvana is away from the crowded Banaras ghat, and our favorite thing was walking from there to the ghat. We saw local life along the way, tried cheap and tasty local food, visited a saree making factory, and eventually reached the Ganga ghats. My kid had a great time playing and chatting with other guests from around the world. Looking forward to coming back!

A nice spot for artists of all kinds backpacking through India who want to explore and express their creativity with like-minded travelers around Varanasi. You can choose Air B&B or basic shared accommodation if you prefer the community feel, with cooking and meals shared.

The calm neighborhood is easy to get around from, and the host was great at coordinating late nights and early departures. Ganges Nirvana is within walking distance of Manduadih Railway Station and has the basics, but it also feels like a home. You can keep to yourself or spend time sharing food and stories with the other guests. Shashwat was a wonderful host, and the place feels welcoming and interactive without stretching a backpacker's budget. Thanks, Shashwat! I'll definitely tell people about it. :)

After the hectic city tours, it was lovely to come back to somewhere so quiet. It's spotlessly clean, from the rooms to the bathrooms, and has a real home-like feel. The owner is so warm and welcoming that you feel at ease as soon as you arrive. Definitely the best place to stay in Varanasi.
