The ghats are within walking distance, and Ajeet Chauhan helped us plan our itinerary and guided us so well that we could explore Varanasi properly and avoid common tourist scams. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic dishes, excellent North Indian specialties, and some of the best South Indian food too. Staff were polite and helpful throughout. Hotel Buddha Castle has plenty of parking and a beautiful heritage feel, while its service is modern and up to date. Truly amazing stay, one of the best hotels in town. Highly recommended.

I found the place peaceful and loved the people. The food was amazing, and my stay was wonderful. The reception had a calming ambiance that made me comfortable, and the staff were hospitable and amazing. I walked in and booked instantly through Agoda for two days. They asked me to wait a few minutes while they made arrangements, and welcomed me with a glass of water. Hotel Buddha is tucked inside the street in a nice, quiet spot, and it really does feel calm and peaceful. The gate security uncle was warm and welcoming and attended to me right away. For just 10 INR, you can visit the main temple, then it’s about a 1 km walk to Gate 4. Jai Shambhoo.. Har Har Mahadev🙏

The rooms were spacious, tidy, and clean, and there was parking. The location worked well too, and Mr. Mishra was very helpful with travel and tour arrangements. Breakfast was the downside: the restaurant was slow, and the buffet items arrived so late that we had to wait a long time.

I stayed at Hotel Buddha Varanasi on 16-17 May 2026, and left very disappointed. The amenities were poorly maintained, and the staff were rude and unprofessional throughout. They charged me too much during booking and now refuse to return the extra amount, making excuses instead of taking responsibility. What bothers me most is their attitude, with staff casually passing responsibility around. As a customer, I know the hotel as a whole, not which counter staff member was on duty when I checked in. I found the dealings dishonest and unprofessional, and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for decent service or transparency in Varanasi.

The security guard and one of the cleaning staff, whose name I don't remember, were very helpful and behaved well. My experience otherwise was poor. The rooms felt overpriced, and toiletries weren't provided unless I asked. Cleaning was extremely poor, and the breakfast sandwiches were so hard they were like roti. The person I met at reception, possibly the head of operations or bookings, was rude and unprofessional. I don't think this experience was worth over ₹2000, and I wasn't happy at all. I'd suggest THE REGENCY, HOTEL CITY INN, or others for a stay instead.
