Hotel Kings Banaras

The nearby Assi and Ravidas ghats are the one real plus. Getting the car in and out is difficult because the access road is so narrow, though parking is available. There’s little in the way of facilities, and the place felt more like a homestay. Breakfast came with the room, but the only choice was Puri sabzi. No cleaning staff seemed to be around, and each room got just one soap and one towel. The AC was turned off whenever we went out; the fan regulator didn’t work, so its speed couldn’t be lowered, and at night the AC line broke. We had to call to get it switched back on. I’m adding outside photos that aren’t shown on the booking sites. Agoda listed it as 3 stars and showed decent-looking rooms at a reasonable price for that rating, but I don’t think it deserves even one star. They should remove the 3-star listing everywhere. I don’t know how they’re allowed to mislead people like this. If you just need a cheap room, it might work. For amenities, open space, or a garden, don’t book here.

Breakfast from a nearby shop was tasty and healthy, and we could order healthy cooked lunch and dinner from PLUTO across the way. We had a comfortable, pleasant, affordable three-night stay. The staff were very good to us, drinking water was provided as needed, the rooms were hygienic, and there was hot water. Parking and help with the car were available too. Ankit bhai is a dear person, standing behind me in the picture. Six older people were with me.

The morning tea, coffee, and sandwich service was really delicious for me. The owner is kind, and I got the feeling he’s a good man. The location is handy for getting to assi ghat. Towels and room condition are below standard, but it’s much cheaper than other places, so I can accept the room condition at that price.

Food and water can be brought straight to your room with one call, and the staff and owners are cooperative about even small requests. It’s a very budget friendly stay for this level of service. The hotel is couple friendly too, and its location is convenient, within walking distance of Assi ghat and BHU Lanka gate.
