Hotel Shyamal by OYO Rooms

The room and bathroom were small, but both were clean and tidy. The food was good too, and the staff were cordial. During the day, though, construction noise kept coming through. When I complained, they just said it would stop soon. Even once the construction stopped, I could hear noise from an adjacent bathroom beside the window, which opened onto a bunch of pipes. There was no other window. The WiFi was out for the last two days, and repeated complaints didn't get the problem fixed.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and there's a restaurant of their own just 100 meters away. The uncle at reception was really helpful. The hotel is near Assighat, where you can attend Ganga Arti in the morning. Kaal Bhairav Mandir and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir are also only 30 to 45 minutes away, even in heavy traffic. I found the hotel amazing.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and having their own kitchen is a plus. You can call to order whatever you want, and the food was yum. The rooms are on the small side, but the service and food were good, and the location is favorable. It's not very close to the other places, but they're within walking distance, including Lanks, BHU, and Sankat Mochan temple. My stay was good, and I'd recommend it if you're not looking for luxury but want a worthwhile stay.

After a 16-hour ride, we paid 2500 for one room so we could sleep, but construction started next to Room No. 103. We also found a baby mouse in the room. When we complained, the staff had a bad attitude, and at checkout they treated us like thieves. They don't know how to communicate with guests, and this was a bad experience all around. Their food was good, but after finding the mouse, we worried about kitchen hygiene and didn't order any more. I wouldn't recommend going there unless they hire someone who knows how to speak to guests.
