Hotel The Royal Vista

Inside, the hotel looks good, and the receptionist was courteous. But the approach is really bad: it’s walking distance from the main road, yet the only way to the entrance seems to be through a narrow lane past slum type settlements. With that entrance, the place feels overpriced. There’s also a serious maintenance problem and not enough staff, and management seems casual about keeping service quality up. The room had temperature controls, but the centralized AC vent was sealed and a spilt AC had been installed, probably because the centralized system costs a lot to run. The washbasin was clogged and filled with water. There was no doormat outside the bathroom, just a small towel folded on the floor. Room service was poor too. Often nobody answered the phone because the person taking calls also handled room service. If we asked for two of anything, they brought only one, so we had to ask again. They also charge extra GST on the listed food items and water bottles.

The staff were really friendly and courteous, and helped me with sightseeing, mandir darshan, and even shopping. I had a comfortable stay and a very positive experience overall.

The food was good and hygienic, though its taste and variety could be improved. I spent three days here, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and cooperative, which made for a pleasant stay.

I was a little uneasy before arriving, wondering if I’d made a mistake booking here. When I got there, I’d say to overlook the local area outside the hotel. I ended up liking the hotel a lot. The rooms were neat and very clean, and the staff were sweet, cooperative, and good to deal with. The food was very good too, and the tea and coffee were good. No doubt, Royal Vista has great presentation and hospitality. Thanks.
