The location is close to the railway station, and the staff were courteous and well behaved. I've heard the food is good too, but they need to improve room hygiene and put effective pest control in place.

The people running Hotel Yelchiko made the stay feel personal, with attentive, courteous help from the whole team. The restaurant food was tasty and lovingly served, and the hospitality had the warmth of a home despite feeling as professional as a premium corporate hotel. It’s also very conveniently placed, about a kilometer from Varanasi Railway Station. I left with a lovely impression of a stay that felt like home in Varanasi. 🌸✨

The one real plus is how close the hotel is to the railway station. The rooms were cramped and in poor condition, with cockroaches around, and the lift sometimes didn’t work properly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There were lots of cockroaches in the room, easy to spot at night, and the rooms were unhygienic. The bed was poor, and the doors were very stiff. The TV only gets recharged by the hour, so we had to keep reminding them. The staff were unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially with family.

For a three-star hotel, the price feels far too high. Varanasi has better options, so I’d only consider this place if they lowered their rates. Have a look around first.
