We asked for a refund after the first room proved filthy, but the receptionist was rude and refused. After a long argument, they moved us to another room, which was cleaned only after we insisted again. We had paid in cash upfront at check-in, before they showed us the room, and though we'd booked two rooms, they offered one room with an attached space without a door and a shared bathroom. The first room smelled awful and was dirty, with food on a small coffee table, stained walls, grimy sheets, smelly pillows, and cigarette butts in the bathroom. Staff ignored repeated requests to clean the bathroom, change the sheets, and bring extra blankets because it was cold. The power went out, and beer cans were visible outside the window. There was no privacy, and we saw creepy individuals around. Basic things were missing: TV, Wi-Fi, drinking water, toiletries, towels, room to move, a cupboard for clothes, and housekeeping. I wouldn't recommend it to families, friends, women, or children, especially at these high prices when better hotels cost the same. This stay in City Guest House in Banaras ruined our trip.

There was no water or breakfast or tea arranged in the guest house, and no nearby restaurant for an early breakfast. The location wasn't convenient. Inside, the room was OK, but the passage outside was dirty and there was hardly room to move. There was no clothes cupboard or attached toilet, and neither the shared toilet nor the washbasin was clean.

The location is good, right on the main road, with quiet surroundings and easy access. There are a few eateries nearby for lunch or dinner. I stayed one night in a spacious room, but most other amenities were missing. Plumbing problems in the bathroom made the stay irritating and hard to forget. Room service can provide potable water, though I don't know where it comes from. For what the place offers, it felt a bit overpriced.

One of my worst stays. The guest house staff were rude and didn't seem to listen to any requests. The OYO CRM team seemed unable to resolve the problem either.

I felt cheated, as did other guests I spoke to at the property. I was an OYO premium member in 2018 and had used it several times over the past eight years, so this was by far my most disappointing experience. We booked four rooms for ten people, two rooms for four guests and two for six, but were given only two rooms. The booking said the property was 4 km from the railway station, but it was 11 km away; getting to the hotel, city, and Kashi temple cost Rs.500 and hit our budget. We had booked AC rooms, yet there were only fans. There was no room service or water supply, and no soap in the bathrooms. The place appeared to be set up for birthday, anniversary, and party celebrations, as the front banner indicated, but had been turned into OYO City P Guest House. It felt more like a party house than a hotel. There was no lift, and the staff seemed untrained and didn't know how to serve guests. The whole experience felt like hell, and we had to suffer a lot.
