I've stayed at Hotel Shivashray, Varanasi, twice, and both visits were pleasant. It's neat and comfortable, good value for money, and there are some great food options nearby. The location is a real advantage: Manikarnika Ghat is around a 5-minute walk away, and Kashi Vishwanath Temple is about 4 minutes on foot. The hospitality is warm and welcoming. I'll surely stay here again when I return to Varanasi.

The staff were cordial, and Salini ji was especially good to us. She tried to get us a good room, though it had no hanger or proper almirah, just a mini fridge. For the price I paid, the room could have been a little more spacious. They also promised to drop us at the station but couldn't due to some management issue. The location is very good, with Kashi Biswanath temple Gate no. 4 very near, the railway station 5 km away, and useful things just 1 minute away. Lift facility is available. I'd suggest this place to families because it felt safe, and you can go out any time for delicious food nearby. I visited during SHIVRATRI,2026 and enjoyed it. No issue overall.

Everyone was incredibly warm, and they took care of every need I had during my long stay. The hotel is freshly constructed, with more contemporary interiors than many similar hotels in Old town. It's super close to Kashi Vishwanath temple, if that's important to you. I couldn't have been happier or asked for a better stay.

The support staff were a huge help with all the luggage I brought, moving it smoothly and without hassle. That made our stay much more comfortable and stress-free. I came all the way from Bangalore and was a bit apprehensive at first, but the hospitality at Hotel Shiv Ashray in Varanasi exceeded my expectations. Its location right in the heart of the city, just 200-300 metres from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, made our temple visits extremely convenient. The helpful staff, location, and hospitality made it a great place to stay, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place near the temple.

Manikarnika Ghat is close enough to walk to, and Kashi Vishwanath Temple is only about 200 meters away, which was especially handy for an early morning darshan. I spent two nights at Hotel Shiv Ashray and found it clean, well kept, and equipped with the basics I needed. The staff were polite and helpful, and the atmosphere felt peaceful and safe. It’s a budget-friendly option with a convenient location, especially for a short spiritual visit to Varanasi.
