The Commune Varanasi

The Commune Varanasi has a warm, welcoming feel, and the clean, comfortable rooms made my stay really enjoyable. Staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. It's well placed for exploring Varanasi, while still giving you somewhere peaceful to relax. The hostel's social atmosphere makes it easy to meet other travelers and share experiences. A lovely mix of comfort, community, and hospitality. Highly recommended.

The location is great for the market and dashashwamedh ghat. I stayed three nights in a female dorm and had an amazing time. As a woman traveler, I felt safe here, including when it came to getting around. The host was especially engaging with us every day, sweet, and looked after us. She made sure you don't feel like you're traveling alone. I'd recommend this place to all female travellers, just go for it.

The social feel here makes it easy to meet backpackers from around the world, and the dorms and private rooms are well maintained. The hostel is clean and modern, with friendly staff who are always willing to help. It's close to major sights like Assi Ghat and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The Commune Varanasi brings together comfort, cleanliness, a friendly community, and an authentic Banaras experience. I'll definitely come back.
