The AC worked fine and the room itself was in good condition, but the area wasn't hygienic and the staff seemed largely unconcerned, except for one person. At around Rs 399, it may suit a first Oyo booking. I don't think it's worth more, since there are plenty of better places in a prime location for about Rs 700 to 1000.

Check-in was awful, with poor hospitality and no real concern for customers. The room, washroom, and linen were unhygienic. They wanted the remaining amount in cash. When I said I'd pay online through the Oyo app, they said settlement would take time; paying by credit card came with a 2.5% charge. It felt like they wanted payment directly into their account and wouldn't let me pay in the app. In the end, I had no choice. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I spent four days here. The location is in a dirty area, down a narrow, pothole-filled road, with no good places to eat nearby. The one advantage is that the ghat is about a 20-minute walk away. The TV was missing, and even after I asked reception to clean the room, nothing happened. They didn't change the sheets either.

The room was clean, sanitised, and felt safe, and the reception staff were really good. They couldn't provide food because the kitchen was closed during Covid, so call ahead if your booking includes meals or you may run into trouble. The hotel is a bit away from girijaghar chauraha, along a single-lane road that gets very congested in the daytime. An auto-rickshaw from girijaghar to the hotel costs ₹10 per person. It's also couple-friendly. Happy reading.
