The restaurant was a bright spot: the staff were good, and having music and a projector meant we could enjoy songs and IPL matches with our meals. Breakfast tasted nice, though there wasn't much to choose from. Lunch and dinner had plenty of cuisine options and were tasty, but the portions felt small for the prices. The pool situation was a letdown, especially for the kids. The resort doesn't have its own pool; guests can use the one at Rachana’s Beach Resort, but getting there means a walk, so we didn't go. I wish that had been made clear in the amenities before booking. Our room had a few basic problems. The heater only made the water a little warm, and the balcony wasn't maintained well. Sand gets into the room easily at a beach property, and the doormat provided didn't do much to help. Toothbrushes and toothpaste weren't supplied either. WiFi was decent. The property itself is quite small, and the stay felt average, with several things that could be improved.

The cliff view and sunset spot were easily the best parts of my stay from 30 April 2026 to 2 May 2026. Breakfast was good too, and it came with the package I booked. I paid for a non-AC room, which was a decent size for the price. There was a noticeable smell in the room, though, and some plug sockets didn't work properly. Hot water wasn't available, but in summer I could manage without it. For the location and price, I felt the stay was worth it. I'd give it 3/5.

The beach access and surfing nearby are good, but that was about the only part of my stay at Black Beach Resort that met expectations. Rooms were dusty and smelled stale, the linens weren't clean, and the bathroom was in unacceptable condition, including a flush with no water. Animals wandered around the property, even near the dining area, which made the place feel unhygienic. There was no dedicated parking, and some amenities mentioned when booking weren't available. The swimming pool is at another property. Breakfast choices were limited and the food was average, not worth the price. Staff were unprofessional, unresponsive, and sometimes rude. Check-in took a long time, and I didn't feel they cared much about our comfort or satisfaction. Support was lacking during the stay. Aside from the location, the resort missed basic expectations. It might be manageable for bachelors, but I wouldn't recommend it to families or anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

The boy was helpful and behaved well. I think his name is vishnu, thanks for the help, vishnu. I'm from mp and stayed as a guest at bb resort. The room and service were ok, and I’m giving the resort 5 stars. Very nice, thanks black beach resort. ❤️

We stayed one night at black beach resort, and it wasn't a good experience. We'd discussed getting a garden-view room with make my trip, but were given a ground-floor room that felt like a hotel room instead. We had a kid with us and asked if there was a better option, but were told they were sold out. There was no room service at all. Black reach has several properties in varkala, so if you get the black beach property, I'd suggest sclif black beach resort or malavikas black beach instead.
