The location at Gumnut Homestay made it easy to enjoy the cliff while still having peace and quiet. It's tucked away from the bustle, but only a few minutes' walk from everything. Rose and her husband are kind, attentive hosts; Rose made me feel looked after, almost like a second mom, while respecting my privacy. The property was spotless, and the kitchen, fridge, AC, and hot water were all reliable. I had a fantastic stay and will be back.

We left Gumnut Beach House with happy memories. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the bathrooms were well-maintained, and the place felt thoughtfully arranged. Rose was warm and caring, shared local tips, and always greeted us with a smile. The house is spotless and cozy, with greenery all around. It's near enough to walk to the cliff and beach, but still quiet enough to relax. A homely, calm, affordable place in Varkala. Thanks, Rose, for making our trip special! 💛

Gumnut beach house was really awesome. The hospitality at the home stay was so good, we felt like family guests. It's right by varakala Main beach, so worth the money.

The room was basic, though ours was large and had a balcony with a little sea view. Rose and the other guests were really nice. The cliff is very close, with stairs down to the beach, and Soul & Surf cafe and a place to chill are nearby. Papanasam Beach is an 8-10 minute walk. Ettillam Kalari is also close; I went there for Kalaripayattu, indian martial arts training classes at 6:30 am or 6:30 pm. I'd recommend the experience.

I spent a week at Gumnut and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and it was good value. Rose was welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Lots of good spots on the South Cliff are close by. Thank you!
