I only had limited time, or I would have stayed longer. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful, and arranged a scooter within minutes so we could explore Varkala. They offer free pickup, and when we were running late, the owner drove me to the station without charging extra. The complimentary morning yoga was a lovely way to ease into the day, and breakfast was included too. At breakfast I mentioned that my birthday was the next day. Even though I had checked out that morning, the owner went to a bakery that evening for a cake and got staff and other housemates together to celebrate. It was such an unexpected surprise. That kind of warmth from hotel staff is rare. This place felt more like home than a hotel, and I'd come back to Varkala just to relax here. Best hotel I've stayed at, in or outside India.

The food tastes just like home cooking, and the owners and chichies are kind and caring. They put so much love into both the meals and the atmosphere, and treat everyone like family. The hostel is spotless, tidy, and has such peaceful, positive vibes. Honestly, it feels more like a home than a hostel. Highly recommend it if you want somewhere clean and comfortable.

The owners create such a welcoming atmosphere that it brings in friendly travelers and makes it easy to get to know people. The place is clean, comfortable for working, and relaxing to hang out in. As a solo female traveler, I appreciated that they called to check on me one night when they noticed I hadn't come back late. They include morning yoga classes, and Prajin is a really great instructor. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the owners went out of their way to make guests feel at home. I had a great experience. Stay here if you go to Varkala!

A top place to relax, rest, and enjoy Varkala, with yoga and a lovely breakfast too. The hospitality, welcome, comfort, and everything they provide made me feel warm and cared for. One of the best places I've stayed in India.

The owners were warm and welcoming, and breakfast in the morning was delicious. My room was clean and comfortable, and the place was peaceful, well maintained, and budget-friendly. I had a really pleasant stay in Varkala and would gladly choose it again.
