Sajjoys Hotel

The staff were the best part of our stay at Sajjoys. They were polite, welcoming, and quick to help whenever we needed something, which made us feel at ease. The clean, comfortable property is near the beach, and our room was well maintained. It was peaceful there, too. We had a great experience, would recommend Sajjoys to visitors to Varkala, and would happily return.

Sangeet even brought us toasted bread in the middle of the night when we got hungry, and the breakfast was superb. We also enjoyed the sweet corn soup and had a good Ayurvedic massage. From meeting Praveen when we arrived to leaving after our three-night stay, the service made the whole visit very pleasant. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for the hospitality. We’d definitely stay here again on another visit to Varkala.

The hotel is handy for getting around: it’s about a two-minute walk to the helipad by the beach steps, and the shops and restaurants start there. Tuk tuks were often passing, so it was easy to flag one down. We stayed four nights with a friend as part of a larger group trip, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely and spacious, with a fridge for drinks and a bathroom with decent water pressure. The hotel is beautiful inside, too. Breakfast had a good spread of Indian and western food, including fresh fruit, cereal, and delicious French toast. There’s an egg station, and I’d recommend the all-in omelette. I also had a lovely full-body massage. The small gym upstairs was good for a workout, but it got very hot, with no air conditioning or fan. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Varkala.

We hadn’t had service like this before, and we’ll be praising Sajjoys to our family and friends. When we arrived at 5am, they greeted us warmly and let us check in, so we could start our trip rested instead of having to follow our plan for getting through the day. Our room was clean and tastefully decorated, with tea and water provided. We ate at the restaurant both nights. The food was made fresh to order, they took our preferences into account, and it tasted great. Even my picky-eater husband enjoyed everything. Breakfast had plenty of variety and what we needed. We didn’t try the pool or gym, so can’t comment on those. The hotel is close to the beach, and the front desk arranged our airport and train station transfers. Thanks, Sajjoys, for such a great welcome to Kerala.
