Sri Laya Guest House by OYO Rooms

The rooms, including the bathrooms, were clean and well kept, and the owners were friendly and very helpful. Having a supermarket and pharmacy right in the hotel complex was handy, especially with kids, and the neighborhood felt safe. I’d stay here again. Just bring food if you’ll arrive at night, since restaurants are about 2 km away.

The room was tidy and very clean, and the hotel is easy on the budget. Its location on the outskirts means getting around can take some patience: I waited over 15 minutes for an auto one evening. If you’re not in a rush and don’t mind paying extra for transport, it’s a reasonable option.

The receptionist was juggling several things but still looked after us, and promptly returned a phone we’d left in the room. The rooms were spacious and cozy, the bathroom clean, and the place felt homely. A supermarket and medical store in the basement were useful, and it’s just off the highway in a residential area. We’d stay again if driving this route. We’d worried about the cost for a stopover on a long drive, but OYO Rooms seemed to understand what guests need. For the price, we got more than expected, which is why I rarely give five stars so easily. Thanks to OYO and the owner.

The bypass is close by, as are marriage halls, a medical shop, and departmental stores. I stayed for two days in September 2019. The compact rooms were decent and had AC, a geyser, and a TV. The beds and bathrooms were clean and maintained well. A good, reasonably priced place for families or friends.
