The other dishes were good, and the starters were especially tasty, including the ghee fish or whatever that was. The mutton biriyani was the letdown. It didn't seem to be made with mutton.

I had a chilled beer, but the restaurant staff only seemed to look after regulars. As a new customer, I felt ignored, and they kept asking every ten minutes if the bill was ready. I paid by bank account scan, 688 and 708, but was told neither amount had come through, so I paid cash as well. I took their mobile number and told them they'd have to cover my travel charge too if the money had been deducted.

Apart from the location, there was nothing good about this place. The staff were arrogant, and in my opinion don't belong in hospitality. They charged Rs. 29/- for a mineral water bottle and answered rudely, while not providing water in any other form. The hotel is poorly maintained, with terrible rooms and toilets. Maybe the exterior got a recent facelift, but everything else feels like it's from the old days.

We booked two rooms for four men and arrived at 2:30AM. The rooms looked neat, but there were no floor mats, and the beds hadn't been cleaned before the keys were given to us. The bed was covered in bedbugs and strands of hair, so it was really uncomfortable to sleep. I asked management around 6:30AM to change it. They said someone would come, but nobody showed up, and I had to sleep on the sofa. The three stars are for the AC, TV, and water heater. I'd have given five if they'd changed the bed cover and mattress as requested.

The hotel is conveniently near the new bus stand and on the Chennai Mumbai highway. I was satisfied with the hospitality for what I paid online. Unmarried couples are allowed with just one government ID, and they don't ask questions that might make you uncomfortable. Inside, the room was nicely decorated and had most things you might need, including a quality mattress, bed, sofa, mirror, and almira. The space worked well for a couple, and the interior blends in some old style. The restaurant has a good range of tasty food, and there's a basement bar with many drinks at better prices. The bathroom felt cheap by comparison, with very old taps that had rust on them, and the hotel facade wasn't maintained well. Otherwise, it was great for the price. A must-go place for couples, families, and friends.
